I was lucky to hear Christian Seibert`s outstanding playing and to work with
this young pianist. Christian`s keyboard sovereignty and his enormous
musicianship are particulary impressive. His gift of combining his personal
ideas with those of the composers he performs, make him a marvellous
pianist, and I have the fullest confidence in his future.

Cyprien Katsaris, 19 march 2004

Christian Seibert was born in the North of Germany in 1975. His father, the pianist and professor Kurt Seibert gave him his first piano lessons.
He studied in Cologne under Pavel Gililov, and it is in front of him that,
after a study period in Vienna under Hans Petermandl and Wolfgang
Witinger, he presented his concert exam. His horizons are opened by his
collaborations with artists such as Paul Badura-Skoda and Cyprien Katsaris.
To date the highlights of his career have been prizes won at competitions in
Zwickau (Robert Schumann International competition), Bozen (Busoni
competition), Sulmona, Marsala and London. His work as a chamber music
player occupies an important place in his professional life. Parallel to his
very busy concert schedule he was laureate at the Reger International
music festival in Weiden in the piano trio event and also in the duo
singing/piano event at the conservatories competition.
